July 8,2010:The board authorized Brian Mook to negotiate a contract with OLM to write landscape maintenance specifications in preparation for rebidding the contract.
July 8, 2010: The board decides to remove the stop signs on Championship Drive at Mahogany Isle Lane and the two stop signs along Westlinks Dr. The decision was made after TR Engineering conducted a Traffic study showing these signs were did not comply with Federal, State, and County safety guidelines.

May 13, 2010: The board is seriously considering replacing
the trees removed from the common areas during the 05 storm. The reserve
account was established for this purpose but not used until the irrigation
system could be repaired.
April 15, 2010: The board hires TR Engineering to conduce a study of traffic signs and speed limits in Gateway Greens
March 18, 2010: At the annual meeting, the membership
replaced Gregg Miller and Delores Linscott with Mike Ritchie and Bob
Clarke on the Board of Governors. The Board than elected Denny
Whitworth to be President, Brian Mook Vice-President for Operations, and
Jim Newlin Treasurer.
February 11, 2010: Board raises speed limit on
Westlinks to 30 MPH. The new speed limit will take effect as soon
as the new signs are posted.
February 11, 1010:The board instructs the landscape committee to begin replacing turf in common areas with Florida native ground covers.
February 2, 2010: Woodward & Associates confirmed a sales
agreement has been accepted for the Santa Luz Square property. They
declined to provide details until after the closing.
January 28, 2010: Board confirms prior approval for Mr.
Dougherty to use Gateway streets on March 20th for Pub Night parking provided
all cars are parked on the same side of the street and fire hydrants are not
blocked. The party insurance is to name Gateway Greens as a co-insured,
the wet lands are to be taped off, & and Fire Department notified of the plans.
January 28, 2010: Board appoints Bob Clark and Brian Mook to conduct a risk assessment and insurance coverage survey.
January 7, 2010: Board authorized trapper to remove feral pigs from community.
January 7, 2010: With the blessing of our attorney, the board uses the clause in the new management contract to have management send a pre-suit mediation letter.
January 7, 2010: Paving contractor agrees to provide community with $4,000 in pot hole repairs in
lieu of seal coating areas stained with tar after last paving work.
January 7, 2010: Board agrees to test solar powered timers to
control irrigation values. This would significantly reduce the cost of
hard wiring these battery operated values.
Current Issues:
- Review traffic regulations and consider changes to speed limits
and stop sign locations.
- Consider redesign of entrances to community to provide shelter
for visitors.
Current Priorities: Collect the delinquencies, challenge
Comcast rate increase, & step up DRC enforcement of infringements.
